Colin Clark

Colin Clark began his musical journey at age 7 when he began taking piano lessons. Urged on by his mother and father, Colin picked up the saxophone at age 10 and the trumpet and guitar at age 13.

The diversity of instruments and musical styles inspired a lifetime’s obsession with musical diversity and stylistic fexibility. He states,

“The awesome thing about music is that you’re starting with a blank slate and you’re free to create anything in that space. Piano, Guitar, Harmonica… these are just tools that I can use to create texture and mood to enhance the music. Keeping an open mind gives you the freedom to chart any musical course you choose. I might wake up one day and say, ‘I’ve got a tune in my head that’s like a Latin Bob Dylan mixed with Hank Williams but also a bit of 90′s grunge.’  It feels good to have that freedom.”

Colin plays banjo, acoustic and electric guitar, and supplies lead and background vocals for the Pissed Off Catfish. A prolific songwriter, he has also penned several songs for the group including: Mud Nasty, Poison Whiskey, and Swamp Jesus.

When he’s not rocking out with the Pissed Off Catfish, he also contributes bass guitar and backing vocals for the Lit Endz and Teethpussy as well as writing and performing his own independent music.
